If you are offended by the policy of eBay, an Internet auction site, which allows the sale of collectibles associated with serial killers and notorious murders, please sign this online petition.

Items currently listed for sale at the eBay site include T-shirts and other novelties bearing the names or faces of famous killers, as well as personal material such as killers' autographs or artwork. While the sale of such items is not illegal, many consider it to be immoral and are offended that someone can profit from the murders of innocent victims.  Many states have enacted laws that prohibit violent criminals from profiting from their crimes, however, proving who will eventually receive the money is difficult at best.

Not only will the seller profit from this type of sale, but eBay also collects a fee for the brokering of the sale.

"We hope public pressure will move eBay to voluntarily pull those murderabilia items from its Internet auction site," Justice For All president Dianne Clements said in a Houston Chronicle interview. "There is a moral standard that people should adhere to, and the eBay auction site crosses that standard."

We object to the sale of personal items that are produced or provided by the killers themselves such as autographs, artwork, hair samples, handprints, fingernails, dirt from crime scenes, confessions, autopsy reports, etc.  These items would have absolutely no value if it were not for the heinous crimes perpetrated on innocent victims.  We believe murderers should not be able to peddle their wares for monetary gain, nor should outside agents, including eBay, profit from such items.
